There's a lot to unpack here from a well thought out response, I don't want to get caught up on one thing. Maybe that's not a popular opinion but so what? Most console players can enjoy FN just fine playing against other console players. If you can't manage that then it's just not going to happen.

IMO, if you care about going pro, get your hands on a PC at any cost.

I personally don't see it that way, the majority of FN players don't care about competing with PC players or trying to go pro. Just doing everything they can to hang on to the biggest audience. They'd rather keep it squarely in the middle, trying to please everyone but really pleasing no one. All of Fortnite's balancing issues stem from the shooting model IMO (and I can absolutely explain that in another post if anyone wanted to hear it). The reward for successful tapping people's head is minimal compared to someone bloom spamming you and hitting you twice.ĮDIT for clarity: The reason why Epic will refrain from changing the shooting model is because if they made it precision oriented it would inherently make PC players even better. No one will stand around waiting for FSA because that's a death sentence and it's quite frankly not that good even when you do use it because tap shooting is slow. The feeling of peeking, hitting your shots and somehow getting hit for 100+ damage while you land next to nothing is awful. You get punished so often it's not even funny. One of the most cardinal aspects of shooters is 'challenging' people who peek you, you just can't do that with an AR. There is a reason why AR combat is a joke in FN, if you ever want to get good you need to start looking at your AR as a secondary weapon to use when people aren't looking at you or can't shoot you. Headshots and aim have no integrity in Fortnite and that's the problem, your crosshair may as well be just a FAT circle and whoever places it directly center on a player and gets the best odds will win. However, if we didn't have a bloom system or at the least the bloom model was reworked to be much more tighter initially and expand greater over the course of spam then you'd see a lot less bitching on both sides because it wouldn't be about how long you can stay tracked but how accurate you were to begin with. It's easy to see why controller DOES have the advantage in terms of pure AR spam and lasering people. Since your bloom expands anyways, headshots are always RNG. Crosshair precision in bloom systems don't matter because it's better to maximize your total chances of hitting by covering the largest area and staying on it vs trying to aim for upper mass or the head. If you have a scar and someone is running sideways and you-with AA (aim assist) track him the entire time while spraying, you're going to land more shots on average than the PC player who will skew off to the sides from time to time. It's a simple probability issue, skill doesn't create opportunities in terms of shooting in FN. It is the single most reason why I NEVER allow myself to take this otherwise interesting game seriously. The real issue is the inconsistency and integrity of shooting mechanics in Fortnite. Cry baby streamers who whine about getting lasered while appearing sad and pathetic, do have a point somewhere in there. PC players have an easier time flicking and for that reason aim can be precise but inconsistent since there's no assistance. Aim assist allows for this perfect and smooth tracking that PC does not-not really making a comparison as to what's better (it's PC though) but that is what it does. Staying tracked onto center mass allows a greater percentage of your shots to hit. If you don't hear back from us within a month, reapply!
